Another set of christmas tags

Hi All

I have just completed another set of 10 Christmas tags commissioned by Lyn ( she loved her last set)

This time she wanted them all different which was quite a challenge, but I am pleased with the outcome.

She will receive them tomorrow I hope she likes them !

I have made these using Deco patch papers, I have also made many Christmas capsules and attached these.  I have used vintage lace and buttons for finishing touches.

Newly finished tags and play date cafe challenge PDCC104

I have just finished a set of 10 tags which were commissioned by Lyn, the theme was autumnal colours but christmasy.
I have also entered this tag into this weeks play date cafe challenge PDCC104

I have only shown you 1 as they are all similar, I have had great fun making these and am pleased with their outcome, I am now going to make more tags in a similar way,  using an angel theme. I have used Deco patch paper from my local crafting shop, Moments and made fabric holly leaves, I covered these in glossy accent. Then added two red beads as berries.

I used a stamp for the writing and then ripped this and stained with ink.  I made the robin rinchie, and added vintage lace onto ribbon, with a button for decoration.

Newly finished Aceo's

Hi All, well here are some newly finished Aceo's I have painted.  I have also made a vintage look collage Aceo as well, I thought I'd try something different, after looking at so many of you inspiring blogs!

I am going to place these on Ebay this eve.

I think I will make a few more Atc's in the style of Dream, I had,  great fun with it and made a rinchie filled with glossy accent, filled with a cutout cupcake and sparkly embossing powders.

The butterfly is cut out of velum and covered in glossy accents.

I am growing huge now, the babys dates are 3 weeks larger (help) trying to get crafting time in as it helps me relax, and makes time fly by.  It wont be long now!

Hellooooo All, I'm so slack I know, I just cant seem to get much done lately, what with getting ready for the new baby.  Most jobs are now done so I am going to concentrate on some me time, which for me involves lots of crafting.

I have just made a vintage card out of some vintage fabrics that I had.  I also sewed a vintage button in the middle.  The card background if made out of some lovely tissue paper that my birthday present came wrapped in!

I glued this all over and then added the flower, the stem came from a paper swap.

We also all went out for a Indian last night to celebrate, we had a good few laughs, and I ended up with terrible heart burn all night from eating spicy food so late, LOL

Card making weekend

Hi All,

Thanks for all being so patient with me,

 Have been busy with all the family home for the holidays, but this weekend had a much needed card making session.

I have made these using bits of Flotsam and Jetsum that I collected from the beach.

I have also got a fantastic sunset photo to share, this was taken on Friday night !

I have also nearly finished a new painting that I am working on, this is to be a gift for a friend.

I will show you all this in the next few days.

My pregnancy is going well, and we have found out that we are having a baby boy.

so sorry I've been absent !

Well I've some important news to share, which may explain my absence for the past month!

I am pregnant !!!!!!

Nearly 5 mths.  The baby is due on 25th November.

what a beautiful day yesterday, had a great day on the beach with a picnic, took some surf shots.  I also got a lovely sunset shot.

I will be able to use these for a few new paintings.

Lovely Birthday Lunch

Today I went out for a friends Birthday Lunch, although the day was overcast and drizzly, it was warm.  We had a lovely traditional lunch of delicate salmon, cucumber and ham sandwiches.

Proper Cornish cream tea,

& Caramel slices.  I can hardly move after eating all this !

We had this in a new Cafe on the beach.

It was a perfect get together.

This afternoon I started two new ACEO paintings (probably as I could hardly move).

These will hopefully be finished tomorrow, I will then post for you all to see.

wax Atc swap

Well, have been busy, busy busy,

Having a major spring clean.  Haven't had any spare time for Art or blogging.  Starting to have withdrawal symptoms have to be creative soon.  I just wanted to sort the house out before the summer holidays.

I have received a lovely package of bee's wax ATC's from the paper traders swap.  They are so gorgeous that I will be displaying them !

My photo just doesn't capture their true beauty.

LaWendula Collage box

Last Friday I went to a crafting class at 'Moments' in Bude.  The theme for our cards was time.  The class was relaxed and fun, I will definitely be attending another one.

one of the products that we used that I have never used before was Glossy accents, I really liked the way it highlights part of the artwork.

Today the weather has been lovely and this evening was warm and balmy, I have taken a shot of the sun going down over Crooklets beach.

Today I also cleaned up my printers letterpress tray,and gave It a wax. This is the item that I am altering, I'm trying to work out what I am going to put in it, I am thinking all my Inchies would be perfect !

I also received these in the post today, such lovely words that will fit nicely in my art tray.

I hope to keep you posted with the progress that I make during this project along the way, if anyone else has done one and could recommend ideas please leave a comment!

New paintings

What a beautiful day, I was meant to take some pictures to show you, but forgot to take my camera out with me.  I was in such a hurry as the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the birds were singing.

Have finished two paintings also !

It must have been the inspiration in the sea air.

The first painting is 7" X 5" it is a stretched canvas, I have painted this in acrylics and found part of a passage which I thought appropriate and also used this.

I am calling this painting 'trust'.

Many people do not understand the power behind the waves, living so near the beach I observe many incidents throughout the year of adults and children being rescued from the sea.

Lawendula paper swap March

Have been part of March's paper swap at Lawendula, such a fun event.  My swap partner is Orit from Israel.
In the swap which was entitled scavenger hunt we had to include these items:

Today I popped into my local crafting store Moments and bought a few new papers. They are now stocking the decoupage tissue papers, I bought one in pebbles.

These papers don't wrinkle like normal tissue paper and can adhere to anything!

Every Inchie Monday challenge 10* Dance

well surprise surprise I have got Every Inchie Mondays challenge done on a Monday! I have finally got my act together ! LOL

I enjoyed this weeks challenge, Dance.  I have painted two ballet shoes and glued them on to some music paper.  I then added some ribbon and pretty button.

Butterfly beeswax ATC

Hi All,

Here are my ATC's

I have never used this technique before and my butterfly's have curled slightly, I have varnished the whole atc to make it more hardy (will be in the post).

If anyone has any advise they can offer I would be glad of it!

I am happy with the outcome though, and they look better in real life than the photo(not sure what has happened with photo quality).

The varnish seems to be distorting the image.

I am going to try this technique again on a small canvas, will keep you posted of the outcome!

Every Inchie Mondays Challenge 'FROLIC'

Hello all,

well this weeks challenge was a challenge, I had difficulty thinking of what to do!

I decided to paint the beach and have two silhouettes frolicking in the surf.

This was very difficult on such a tiny 1"x1" square.

I have never used this technique before so am pleased with the outcome.
